Health Care Reform Watch

Mar 28, 2023

A Message From the Editor

With the COVID-19 public health emergency set to end in May, Moderna expects a 90% decrease in demand for COVID vaccines. Insurers and employers can expect sticker shock as the costs shift to the private sector. The price of the Moderna vaccine is expected to quadruple to $130 a dose when it enters the commercial market. This is something to prepare for when the new booster becomes available in the fall of 2023.
