A Message From the Editor

According to a new study, older Americans are not going through with surgeries. The reasons don't have to do with the pain or recovery process associated with the surgeries; it seems to be more than that. Nearly half of those who said they were very concerned about cost and more than half of those who were very concerned about taking time off of work ended up not having a surgery they were considering.
